a day at a Vegas locals’ casino

We went to dinner yesterday at Aliante Station Casino because I had a buy-one/get-one coupon for the buffet. At least, I thought I did. Turns out, the coupon that came with my monthly Station mailing is only good Monday through Friday and even then, by some logic that escapes me, not for Aliante.  We had to make do with the Players’ Club discount and another $2 off I got for filling in a survey. I would be complaining about the service we got (which was missing) or the scalding hot water in the rest room (if there’s no way to adjust the temperature is it asking too much to moderate it?) BUT, while hubby walked off some of the food, I won more than $4500 playing a penny slot (at $3/pull)! They even threw in a T-shirt. So, on balance, it was a fun (and profitable) visit.

This was my first experience winning so much that I had to fill in tax forms and get paid in person. I know it’s petty, but isn’t there some way I could have continued playing while I waited? I liked that machine!
