I don’t often go to see a movie during its opening weekend – and after seeing “The Adjustment Bureau” last Sunday I remember why. The trailers looked interesting, the cast was good, the story seemed intriguing – No wonder I felt so disappointed.
I’d heard the special effects compared to “Inception”. Both movies reflect changing reality, but I doubt opening doors to unexpected locations is going to win any awards. And the story is really very simple, unbelievable but not complicated and void of surprises except that anyone thought it might make a good movie.
If my expectations hadn’t been so high I probably wouldn’t have felt so let down.
